The fibreglass wing float illustrated above has been developed by Transition AirCraft Inc. (Randy Komko) to replace the original aluminum wing floats.

Circuit carburant. Il se compose d'un réservoir principal de 40 USG (gallons américains) situé derrière les passagers, et de deux réservoirs auxiliaires de 7 USG (un dans chaque flotteur d'aile). Le carburant contenu dans ces derniers doit être transféré dans le réservoir principal pour pouvoir être utilisé.

Avec le Lake, on peut y aller franco et mettre du pied à fond tout en contrôlant l'inclinaison au manche, on peut même s'appuyer (doucement) sur un ballonnet d'aile.

Le train d'amerrissage est constitué par le fond de coque et deux flotteurs latéraux, appelés ballonnets.
